A wayward corporate woman finds herself again when she returns to the family ranch and renews her faith in God and her fellowman
A small town girl becomes a big-city corporate, woman who slowly forgets her roots and her faith. But when her grandfather dies, Tess revisits her childhood church, and the Lord reawakens the inspiration she once had there. Tess doesn't want three generations of her family heritage to end so she decides to leave her corporate America world and heads west. What she thinks is temporary turns out to be permanent when she is roped into a relationship with the all too helpful, handsome ranch hand, something she hadn't bargained for. But he just might be enough to keep her there.
EXCERPT
"I'll be in the bunkhouse if you need me." He tipped the brim of his hat with his finger and turned away.
Tess thanked him and began the short walk to the horse barn. She heard him kick up gravel with each step as he walked toward his small, white house near the ranch house. She wanted to watch him go, but thought better of it. Then she changed her mind and took a glance his way. He had just turned his head toward her. Their eyes locked for a second. Tess looked away. She should have listened to her first instinct, which she hoped was God telling her not to get involved with this guy. The last thing she needed was to become interested in someone whose only goal in life was to be a ranch hand.
"Reclaiming Tess is an awesome tale of a trio of people who are not afraid to make some unusual choices. It is exactly the type of book that I enjoy the most... Abby, Eric and Jett are loveable characters who have a chemistry between them that pulls the reader completely into the sensational story. I enjoyed the book enough to give it the highest rating I possibly could. I am sure other readers will enjoy Reclaiming Tess just as much, or more, as I have."
"I love stories that are true to real life issues and Tess and Colt’s story is just that. You can relate to what each is going through and cannot help but hope that they heed God’s plan for them and choose a life that is not what others believe is right. When you throw in a few extra characters that also could use some second chances you find yourself in one big happy family."
